1. Network Marketing Is A Business
When starting out in Network Marketing the mistake many people make when they join the industry is they do not treat their Network Marketing business opportunity as a business, but they treat it as some kind of get rich quick hope for the best type of activity.
This results in them not having the right expectation for Network Marketing success. One of the reasons why people leave the industry so quickly is because when they are not making the money that they thought, based on wrong expectation, they then leave thinking that the industry doesn't work.
However if they had the right expectation from the beginning they would have understood that this is not a Sprint it's a marathon and they needed to learn some new skills and do the activity, which would have increase their results.
2. Not Everyone Is Going To Say YES
One of the biggest fear is that people have when joining the network marketing industry is the fear of rejection. Sometimes the fear of rejection is so high that people many times provoke the objection out of people. In order to be successful in Network Marketing you have to emotionally detach yourself against yes's and no's, this will result in you having a lot more posture when you are talking to people.
A good idea would be to use some kind of attraction marketing system that allows you to add value to the people when you are prospecting so that even if they say no to your business, they may still like the valuable training that you offer and you can monetise them that way.
3. ILT (Invest, Learn, Teach)
One of the main reasons why people do not experience Network Marketing success is because they are not willing to invest in themselves, either financially or time wise and because of that, they have no true value to offer to people. This is why they only see Network Marketing as a quick fix sales type of process.
The biggest investment you can do in this industry is to invest and your own knowledge, which will increase your skill because the marketplace pays for value. If you increase your skill you will increase your value to the marketplace.
Too many people when starting out in Network Marketing are penny smart dollar stupid, in other words they are too busy chasing the pennies that they missed the dollars.
4. Learn Lead Generation
You should understand that network marketing is a peoples business and you should also understand if you have a good product or service to offer then you are going to go to the people that you know first, family, friends, neighbours etc. However there is going to come a point where you are going to run out of people to speak to and this is why if you do not master lead generation you're going to struggle to build a business. These skills can be implemented in your warm markets, your hot markets as well as your cold markets.
The Internet has really opened up the potential of tapping into cold and warm markets and so if you can learn online lead generation, that is just going to increase the exposure of your business.
5. People Skills
Network marketing is and will always be a peoples business and so in order for you to build an effective team you're going to have to know people.
