What Holds Back MLM Strength?
To quote the words of my mentor “strength will never let you down but weakness kill you every time” The way a person gets MLM strength is by having the confidence to know that what they are doing is right, legitimate and has a value.
One of the main reasons why people struggle in their MLM business is simply because they don't know how to answer questions and objections. Many people fall to pieces when somebody asks them something about their business that is challenging, however MLM strength can only be developed through these types of encounters.
If you are comfortable with what you're doing, then you should welcome questions and objections, all you need to know is that correct process and how to deal with them.
The point of this blog post is to develop the necessary MLM strength you need to take your business to the next level.
The Most Common Objections
There is really only a handful of objections that a person is going to hear while they are building their MLM business. These may present themselves in slightly different forms, but the main body of the objection is the same.
MLM Objection 1
I need to speak to my spouse:– You can avoid this objection if you give presentations to both husband and wife together, this is a better use of your time if you know that the person is married. However many times people use this as an excuse to get out of the conversation because they are really not serious about wanting to do it but they just do not know how to tell the person who is presenting to them.
MLM Objection 2
I don't like sales:- This is normally birth out of a misunderstanding of what sales actually is. Many times people have been solved things that they didn't want, or been pressured into buying something. So they translate sales as having to pressurise somebody to buy something that they do not want. However this objection is easily overcome when you are able to explained that there is no difference between sales and communication, when done correctly.
MLM Objection 3
I have no time:- People say this objection like some people have more time than others, however the reality is every single one of us has got 24 hours in a day. So it's not about the time, it's about how the time Is being utilised. So as you show somebody how with true leveraged they can get more done in the same amount of time or even less, you will actually be helping them to see how they can actually create more time for themselves.
MLM Objection 4
I can't afford it:- A lot of people struggle to deal with this objection and they lose their posture when dealing with it, however 99% of the time the prospect is lying, because if their life truly depended on it, they would find that money. So is important when dealing with this objection, that you qualify the objection properly and the way you do that is by asking the right questions.
- This is linked to the above objection: I need to wait a couple of weeks. The person that uses this objection may have a very good intention of coming on board in two weeks, however because there is no action behind it, the two week time period very rarely materialises. Your best bet at this point would be to pre-launch their business and start getting them to put you in front of people on their behalf, this would create the money for them to come on-board.
MLM Objection 5
I have to think about it:- There are two people that will give you this objection one that is genuine and the other it is a coward. The genuine person truly has got questions that still need to be answered, so they need to absorb the information that they just seen. The coward is saying they need to think about it because they are too chicken to tell the person that they're not interested.
So when somebody gives you this objection, it is very important that you qualify it by asking the right questions as I demonstrated in the video above.
MLM Objection 6
Is it a pyramid:- There are two approaches to deal with this objection, the first one is to not automatically assume that it is coming from a negative position. So many people just jump on the defensive as soon as they hear the word pyramid, what the professional network marketer does, is qualify the position from where the person is coming from. However if they are coming from negative place, do not lose your posture, remember you know that you are not in an illegal pyramid scheme and that your company is a legitimate company, so do not get intimidated from ignorant responses.
Hold your posture and if possible use third-party tools to validate why it is not a pyramid. This will take you out of the firing line but at the same time give them the information they are looking for. A really good tool to use to do this it's a tool called Brilliant Prospector by a man called Tim Sales.
MLM Objection 7
Isn't the market saturated:– Again this objection is coming from a position of ignorance, so when you asked this question do not lose your posture. People think that the timing is completely off with regards to your opportunity when they ask you this question. This is why the best way to answer this question is through a story, somebody who is fairly new in the business and has got some really good momentum.
Really the question that the prospect wants to ask is “Am I too late in getting involved?”
Where possible always answer an objection with a story, because information will only tell but a story will sell every time.
So if you internalise these points that I just mentioned to you, you will develop MLM strength and the strength that you have will sustain you in the tuff times to come.
