The Reality Of The Network Marketing Industry
I love what Eric Worre says in his book “Go Pro” and that is, “Network marketing is not perfect but it is better”
There is an number of reasons why I believe Network Marketing is better then many other business opportunities you could be doing. But in order for it to work for you there has to be certain qualities that you possess. The number one quality is you need to be a people person.
This is not the type of opportunity that you can just hide behind your computer, because if you did that you would not build a very large duplicatable organisation of people who passionate about the product or service you have. You need that personal interaction with people and come alongside them to facilitate their success.
Don't get me wrong, technology has allowed us to do this a lot better and a lot quicker, over large distances, however that personal interaction is crucial for the success of your organisation.
Network Marketing Vs The Corporate Job
The difference between Network Marketing and your typical corporate job is all about the motivation. In Network Marketing, in order for you to get up the organisation, you first have to reach down and help somebody up. In your typical corporate position, the people that you help beneath you will not be the contributing factor to whether or not you climb up the corporate structure. Also a lot of time people step on other people to climb this structure.
In the corporate world you can have a lot of money but no freedom, because the more money you demand, is the more time that organisation demands from you. If you compare that to a Network Marketing organisation, the larger your organisation, the bigger your check and also the more freedom you have. This is because you have leveraged yourself through a team and entrepreneurs. This is why I think Network Marketing is better
Network Marketing Vs Blue Collier Worker
There are many people that have jobs that are skilled, like Craftsman, Plumbers, Plasterers, Electricians Etc. My own father for many years owned his own plastering Company for and I saw him work very hard. He is very skilled at his job, however for years I also saw the challenge that he had in regards to getting working. The other this is if he was not personally their then the job couldn't be completed.
This is the case with many blue-collar workers, they're normally very hard-working people, but they really have no time because they are hands on. Plus they are small business owners and so as Robert Kiyosaki's Cash flow quadrant shows, they are on the left-hand side, which is the side where people have no freedom and no leveraged! This is why I think Network Marketing is Better
Network Marketing Vs Internet Marketing
This is a great way of generating additional income from home, however there is a distinct difference in motivation between a Network Marketer and an Internet marketer. A Network Marketer has a heart for helping people and building teams, leveraging the efforts of others to develop a strong organisation for themselves long-term. However an Internet Marketer Leverages the technology to gain multiple customers, through affiliate marketing high ticket items and other types of membership sites. They constantly have to be launching new programs and product, which is not a bad thing, it is just a different motivation from the true Network Marketing who typically builds longer term with one company. This is why I think Network Marketing is better
You can do both, however if you are a Network Marketer, I would encourage you to do Internet marketing in the context of building your Network Marketing business. If you don't, you will just be distracted from building your Network Marketing business and it will just stand still.
However If you use the Internet in context to your Network Marketing business, then you can develop another stream of income which creates cash flow for your marketing. At the same time this would integrate into you promoting your primary business, which you are building for the long-term.
There are great systems out there that allow you to do this, like MLSP (MyLeadsystemPro) for instance. This was designed by Network Marketers for Network Marketers, so it gives you the best of both worlds. However if you just use a generic Internet Marketing system, there may be a lot of things there that are irrelevant to the Network Marketer and will just distracts you. However with the right system like MLSP you can literally turbo-charge your business.
I personally use two systems, one that is focused on adding value to people who are already in the Network Marketing industry, and the other is to educate people who have no experience about Network Marketing and the potential of the industry. One of the best videos that I have ever seen that shows people about the potential of the industry, that also brings them to a place where they are more open to hear about a Network Marketing opportunity is, “Brilliant Compensation” by Tim Sales. Tim has incorporated this video into a marketing system designed the education new people who know nothing about Network Marketing and the is called Brilliant Prospector which deals with ALL of the most common objections people get like “Its a Pyramid Scheme!
Network Marketing Is Better So Be A Professional
Network Marketing is a profession and as such we have to be professional, there is a big difference between the professional Network Marketer and the amateur that has just signs up to an opportunity. Let's face it everybody when they first start in the industry is an amateur. This is why it is so important that people get the right direction when they are new. Even though Network Marketing is better, is a person is not directed correct, they will fail.
So how do you transition from the Network Marketing amateur to the Network Marketing professional?
Transition 1 Motive
This is probably the most important transition because a person has to move from just wanting to sign everybody up on their product or in their service, to genuinely being interested in them and adding value to them by discovering their need and fulfilling it with what they have. You have to start seeing people for people and not just signups.
Transition 2 Focus On The End Game
Any good business person in any niche sees the end before they get there and in Network Marketing that is no different. You have to look at the long-term picture of what this industry can do for you. Instead of focusing on the fruit, you have to focus on the root and lay all of the right foundations for a strong organisation.
Transition 3 Learn The Right Processes
Every Network Marketing company is going to have their own way of doing things, which is designed to promote the message of the company. However people don't just join companies, people join people. So You will need to know the processes, that promotes your company but also the processes that promote you. If you can just understand, that you are your most important brand, then you will build a bigger Network Marketing organisation.
Transition 4 Combine Your Prospecting With Your Marketing
You have to combine the two, your prospecting with your marketing. Your prospecting is proactive and your marketing is reactive. If you only focus on marketing, you will dry up your moment and if you only focus on prospecting, you will end up putting even more effect t build your business and limit your potential reach. Believe me I had made these mistakes in the past. You always want to have a full pipeline and the way to do that is through prospecting and Marketing.
Transition 5 Broaden Your Horizons
Start taking the limitations of yourself, stop thinking it is only the select few that make significant income in this industry. Start understanding that with the right level of effort and the right processes in place, coupled with the right desire and work ethic, then anybody can be successful in the Network Marketing industry. There is a reason why Network Marketing is better! So refused to listen to the negative people out there who speak out of ignorance, and start focusing on your goals and your vision for your future.
Final Transition 6 Timing
Understand that it's not about the person who first got involved, but it's about the person open to saying “I am going to build this!”. Amateurs always talk about the perfect time to get involved, whereas professionals understand that it does not matter when a person gets involved, just as long as they have the right tools and processes in place, they will make it work. If Network Marketing is better it would have to be a level playing field.
In this industry you can either my money or you can make excuses, but you can't make both at the same time. So if you have decided to be a Network Marketing professional, Understand that you are going to raise above the crowd and separate yourself from all the noise that is out there.
Are they good companies and bad companies in Network Marketing?
You better believe it!
Are they good people and bad people in Network Marketing?
However Once you've have found a company that you can find a home with and you can believe in either the product or the service and make a real commitment, then the only behaviour you can control after that point, is your own.
So you decide to be a good person, you decide to go and help others and you decide to build what ever level of business you want to build for you and your family
