Understand The Mindset Of The People That Say No To Your Network Marketing Opportunity
To truly understand why people say no to your network marketing opportunity, you really have to you get into the mindset of the people you are speaking to. Many people for years have been conditioned to the fact that, you go to school, you get a good education, you then get a job with benefits and you work at that job until your 65, then you retire and you get your pension.
So when you approach them with your network marketing opportunity, they are naturally sceptical because they have to break out of the mould of years of conditioning.
Some people are able to do this, but unfortunately many people are not, so their response to your network marketing opportunity is going to be based on their ability to see beyond their conditioning.
Some Of The Reasons People Say No
1 They don't see it as a real business:- Some people are so conditioned to thinking that unless you are going into an office building with employees with accounts receivable and accounts payable, human resources etc, that you are not in the real business.
They are blind to the fact that in network marketing you can earn equal amounts if not more money than the person can do in the traditional business, but without all of the stress and headaches associated with running a traditional business.
Unless a person can swallow their pride and start evaluating the information for what it is, they will
not join you.
2. They Think it is a pyramid scheme:- There is so much miss information out there in
regards to network marketing, that most people don't know the difference between a network marketing opportunity and a pyramid scheme.
Firstly a pyramid scheme is illegal, secondly it will not involve a product or service or a very poor one and the all of the money people make is based on recruiting people into the scheme.
So people are getting paid solely when somebody signs up and not because of a product or services that is being sold.
With the proper research into things a person will be able to find out whether not an opportunity is legitimate or not. However some people cannot be bothered to do their due diligence and out of the fear of the unknown, the easiest thing to say is “it's a pyramid scheme”.
If somebody is not open to research, then they will stay in their ignorance and not join you.
3. The Fear of Failure:- Many people say no to network marketing opportunities out of a fear of failure, they don't think that they can do it, so the easiest thing to do is not to try.
If this was the attitude of many people in history, none of the accomplishments that have happened would have ever happened. The reality is everything in life is a learning curve, you start from point A and you go to point B followed on by point C.
The only way to get good at something is by carrying out consistent activity, once you have made the decision to step up.
If a person hasn't got a good work ethic and if they are not a risk taker, also if they have the wrong motivations, then they will not be successful network marketing. The fear of failure has stopped many a person with great potential to change their lives.
So everyone needs to understand this, you cannot take a person further than they want to go.
4. Pride:- Many people say no out of pride, they may be well-educated or they may have run their own business before or they may have a “good” government job or some other reason. Then they look at your network marketing opportunity as something that is beneath them and they think it is only for people who can't do any better.
Their egos are so big that it affects their bank account and the lifestyle of many of these people mainly in the middle classes mains they have to do continue to work to maintain their lifestyle.
These are the same people who in their 40s and 50s get burnt out and often sick, which then users in a whole new dynamic of medication to their lives.
5. I lack of belief in you:- Other people say no to your opportunity because they have alack of belief in you as an individual to help them to get to where they want to go. If you cannot build that level of rapport with people and show them that you are the right person to join, then they will not join.
People like to follow people who know where they are going, so it is vitally important to you that when you are speaking to your prospects, you position yourself in such a way that they begin to trust you. If you don't do that, then they will not join your network marketing opportunity.
6. The Grass Is Greener:- You may be speaking to somebody about your business opportunity and they may show a great interest in it and then out of the blue they don't join. One of the reasons why this happens is because, they always buy into the message that the grass is greener on the other side, in other words, they were sold into another opportunity.
This happens all the time, so when it does happen to you, you have to emotionally detach yourself from the situation and move on. Remember you are looking for people who buy into you as a leader and trust that you can take them where they want to go.
These are the people who you're going to be able to mentor effectively. You're not looking for people who can't make a decision, people who procrastinate and people who are always looking for the easy option. Let them be somebody else's headache and go find the people who are right for your team!
7. The Get Rich Quick Crowd:- There are people who are just looking for things that are quick, easy, cheap and will pay them a six-figure income with no work and effort.
This get rich quick crowd will not join you in your opportunity if it looks as though they are going to have to put effort in. Please let those people go you do not want these people in your business these people cause more damage than good if you do recruit them.
So What Should Be For Response To People Who Say No
There are a couple of responses that you can have to the people who say no to your business. First of all if somebody is into home based opportunities, network marketing etc but your business is just not a fit for them, you can still monetize them by adding value to them with training, that will allow them to build whatever business they eventually find.
If they are just completely negative towards business opportunities and network marketing, then just let them go and move on.
I have spoken to people in the past who have shown an interest and then just disappeared off the map, which is another way of them saying no to your network marketing opportunity.
I have spoken to other people who are friends and I showed them the business to come on board but they just couldn't make a decision and rather than tell me, they just pretended that we never spoke about it.
This does not affect me any longer, because I am emotionally detached against yes' and no's. The sad thing is, I know I could help them if they let fear stop them from even trying.
You have to take the emotion out of the final outcome, so you can handle it better when people say no to your network marketing opportunity. Remember you cannot take somebody any further than they want to go.
